INTRECCI, a small collection of 3 wallpaper patterns inspired by old traditional wall covering materials designed for CABANA Milano.
It includes three different patterns: Arazzo, Taffetà and Strings.
Arazzo brings back a specific detail from tapestry, a very old form of textile art used in the old times for wall covering as decorative display or insulation in castles doing winter.
The pattern represents the warp and weft of that specific textile, traditionally woven on vertical looms, over-scaled.
Taffetà is a very common woven fabric usually made from silk. It is considered to be a “high-end” fabric,
suitable for use in ball gowns, wedding dresses, and in interior decoration for curtains or wallcoverings. The pattern created represents the warp and weft of this specific weave, bringing a touch of history to modern interiors.
Strings graphically represents the fact that TNT wallpapers are not made by weaving or knitting fabrics but by bonding the textile together by entangling fibres or filaments together mechanically, thermally or chemically. The pattern represents an ensemble of textile ribbons metaphorically randomly thrown on the wall and transformed in to a new form of decoration.
